The air is changing
as the season rises
from the earth,
from the sky.
Ive forgotten the wild flowers
that arose in the summer
and quickly faded in the fall.
my mind is now set
to the ground...
to the soil...
to the promise of new life
changes
and growth.
The focus is to the roots...
the ones that have stayed planted
in the seasons that have changed
to drown the weak
and build the strong.
Let this be the challenge
not to garden for a day
but to live in the roots,
for the change of the summer
is more relevant in the fall.
