I keep all of my snippets
and visit them, sometimes
not all of them are perfect
not all of them, are rhymed
I keep all of them hidden
a locked file, closeted
all of them separated
and somewhat, deposited
Each a thought
on pain, loss, or love
soothing, or satire
Giving up some empathy
before my pen
retires
