Like the swing lingering from the tree Our past is all you can see Spiraling down the winding path of insanity An exit, you must get Our end has far been met You put kind words on paper Even wrote them to a melody, Filled with flash and flattery You even say, you love me Yet, this endeavor is vain I am sad to say, You’ve already had your day No longer the same, You wouldn’t know more than my name Each day the cracks grow bigger, The breaks stronger, The limb weaker, Time to cut the swing down Before it crashes to the ground

No Turning Back
