George, amiable and affable was he,
as relaxed and friendly as could be,
attired in white he looked, well, good,
a proper leader concocting food,
with ever a grace and persuasive smile
that all who saw him did beguile.
And his hat was white, his apron too,
kept spotless regardless of the stew,
and pans and pots upon the fire,
some simmering, boiling, frying stuff,
in order that there be enough
for customers in every shape and size
desirous of sampling his expertise.
