Rush through me. I stand tall, motionless. The surface floats by me, But i am rooted in the Earth like the great oak tree. I wait for my time to be carried by the rapids, For I am patient and will not give in to your torrents without a fight. I deserve a grand contention. The flood will come one day and I will be swept away with honor.

Grounded in a River
Rush through me. I stand tall, motionless. The surface floats by me, But i am rooted in the Earth like the great oak tree. I wait for my time to be carried by the rapids, For I am patient and will not give in to your torrents without a fight. I deserve a grand contention. The flood will come one day and I will be swept away with honor.
