It won't much matter . No one has noticed since they are all caught up about news coming out of Washington D.C. , but the Sun no longer sets due west any more   It has moved three degrees to the northwest . That means more sunlight for both the north and south poles . That means faster melting of all the ice . If it moves two more degrees to the northwest all the world's ice will melt . It is presumed that melting ice has cause the Earth to tilt on it's axis . If it does all melt 80% of the world's population will have to move to a higher elevation . No more swamp in Washington !

I'm more concerned with missing out on clean energy patents.  The world is changing, it is hubris to think that America is going to change the trajectory of the global energy industry alone regardless of anything done in the short term.  Think long term, Trump is just pandering like the populist jack ass he is... sadly it will put us behind technologically speaking, but it will have no real long term impact globally.  Elon Musk says some pretty interesting things on this topic, he resigned from his committee  position over this for financial reasons, the ideological stuff is a ruse. The real argument is about the technology that won't be incentivized to develop in America.  The whole "raping the world" thing is an emotional argument, not a rational one.  The American energy industry will be surpassed if we don't make it harder to use antiquated methods.  We will save a few bucks in the present, the economy will grow in the short term but we lose even more in the future.  If you don't look at it pragmatically you will never understand the true motives.

two sides to every story, humanity can't win.  Mother Earth you have been abused by countless generations.  Even our minute attempts are countered by the rules; China and India are allowed to have coal and other pollutants.  For every inch gained here, the Paris Accord grants them leniency thus off staying our gains.  One can only hope companies will take on the burden and promote clean water and air.  I fear for the future

You know politics.  How it always gets weighed down with pork barrel dividends for unrelated causes.  Why is it so hard to believe that the Paris Accord was not a viable means to an end.  Sure it supposedly stood for a proposition that is near and dear to my heart, one I would like to see championed but that doesn't necessarily mean it was a viable piece of legislation that was equitable for all.
