You see, I cried too many a night In a room with a tiny tiny light. Holding that light in my palms fueled by flickers of your charms. The dim tried to warn me but me, I pushed aside all wary. I dreamed of life in the sun with you, because you were the one. But you kept me in the dark, because the dark couldn’t tell me. I asked you about the sun, but you wouldn’t run with me. I didn’t care-I wanted the sun. Your tiny light burned less and less, the dying embers of your charms I brought up courage to address. Light left and dark made a home. But, I found that when I ran from the dark, I encountered the sun, all on my own.

To Run in the Sun.
