I see myself as damaged. How ever could I not? My innocence has chipped away, it's left my heart to rot. The flakes of who you saw in me no longer hold on tight. They run around inside my head, racing through the night. A cactus, I have always been, my spines kept pain away. But loneliness and fear and doubt, still on my heart, they lay. The weeds of friendship, love, and joy I do not understand. My years of youth began to drift like wind over the sand.

Chipped and Empty
I see myself as damaged. How ever could I not? My innocence has chipped away, it's left my heart to rot. The flakes of who you saw in me no longer hold on tight. They run around inside my head, racing through the night. A cactus, I have always been, my spines kept pain away. But loneliness and fear and doubt, still on my heart, they lay.
