Thy eyes open to a strange new land.
Dense fog covers a quiet forested area.
Thy body aches from sleeping in the mud and cold.
Ye look around finding only trees and a pond.
Horse whimpers and galloping roll over the breeze,
Shouts follow as armored scouts point at ye and sneer.
More come as they all grab their weapons as they watch ye.
Thy mind races, what did ye do!?
Across from thy yonder pond, they form their rank.
Notched bows aimed at thee, ready to launch.
Spotted amongst many armored knights,
Wizards cast their protective spells, ready for a fight.
Thy stands alone on the opposite bank,
Looking for thy quickest escape.
The barren trees leave little cover,
Ye turn slowly and raise thy hands.
A thick fetid green fog seeps from the land from under their feet,
Coughs bind the army as they struggle to get free.
One by one, they all fall to the murky earth,
Skin melting from their bones, bubbling with a squirt.
Run thee from the crawling green cloud!
Course thy luck for finding this place!
Ye look in dread at the coming green swarm,
As it chases ye through a now eerily quit realm.
The wave of green soon overtakes thee,
Its fetid smell permeates ye.
Coughs rumble from thy lungs.
Thy body lurches as thee runs.
Soon the cloud blocks thy sight,
Liquid fire erupts over thy skin.
Excruciating pain sparks all over,
Causing thee to collapse and faint.
Your eyes open into a sterile white room.
Your head aches as a masked face peers down at you.
“Welcome back!” the masked voice booms.
Your mind still groggy, from the dentist’s perfume.
