the sun sinks into the mountains
a vast consuming darkness
another day has gone past
another flip of the hourglass
where did the time go
last I remember I was 4
hiding to be seeked
unaware of the passing weeks
but now that I have aged
I'm hesitant to turn the page
knowing where it will lead
precious memories left to bleed
