Lying here in the dark, wondering, Or am i dreaming?dare i ask Oh fear not, those are not dreams Just pondering over another hopeless task For sleep it deprives me, again once more Too much activity circling through my head Alas, again and again i am up pacing the floor Whereas its past 2am, i should be fast in bed Picking a book up, then putting it down Reading a few pages, my brow starting to frown Talking to friends, but theyre tired too But they can sleep, oh i wish i was you Sleep will bestow upon me, around morning time Then off sounds the alarm, with its loud shrill chime Time to dress, another tiresome day ahead I wish i could rest in my big lonely bed
