Won't stay in tune but the action's pretty good Used to be sunburst Now it's bare wood I'd varnish these floors Reckon I should Love used to walk here Now it's bare wood Now there's a hole in the map where a mansion once stood The ivy died off Now it's bare wood Thought I knew love Guess I misunderstood I painted valentines red Now they're bare wood You end up in a box You've tried to be good The rich go out in copper Yours is bare wood And this rickety stage where the king once stood Never an encore Now it's bare wood

Bare Wood, Bare Wires
Won't stay in tune but the action's pretty good Used to be sunburst Now it's bare wood I'd varnish these floors Reckon I should Love used to walk here Now it's bare wood Now there's a hole in the map where a mansion once stood The ivy died off Now it's bare wood Thought I knew love Guess I misunderstood I painted valentines red Now they're bare wood You end up in a box You've tried to be good The rich go out in copper Yours is bare wood And this rickety stage where the king once stood Never an encore Now it's bare wood
