As Close my eyes to the sound of silence, I pleaded to god to help me be strong, I prayed and prayed all day long, But I guess my prayers weren't heard, Because she opened her mouth, Saying the words I wished she never said, sharp as a dagger, She stabs me from behind, I was so blind, believing her to be so kind, But I was wrong, Because she was like the devil all along.

The Sound of Silence
As Close my eyes to the sound of silence, I pleaded to god to help me be strong, I prayed and prayed all day long, But I guess my prayers weren't heard, Because she opened her mouth, Saying the words I wished she never said, sharp as a dagger, She stabs me from behind, I was so blind, believing her to be so kind, But I was wrong, Because she was like the devil all along.
