Once upon a dream
there was a time
I wrote a poem
of such social awareness
which changed
how the world thought
The collective consciousness
opened it heart and mind
overlooking drama
rebuking negativity
and sponsoring peace
True... it was a dream
yet it was mine
and mine alone
The gravity of it's meaning
awoke me from slumber
teasing me with hope, so
I pray for global absolution
relevant to who we are
always being mindful
of where we came from.
