weather suddenly turns colder   you grow further   days become shorter    darkness feels normal.     i try to hear your voice       but you can't hear mine either    a technicolor summer dulled the light in your eyes.      we lie and suffer perceptions polarize. we've grown apart, or you've changed;   my mind replays your thought you are spring estranged. oh, how i loved you. i am fallen leaves on a tree. i rise to the end of the atmosphere. promise to always see me collected on the frigid brink of out-of-here. my leaves scatter from pisces to leo and illuminate against the beyond black. my leaves will never come back, but a page, a fingerprint, an open sky will remind you that i held your hand through the dark.
