My heart has been ripped out at it's seams Laid out on display like an old fossil knowing it's importance but not caring long enough This is the heart that is no more The heart that is no more used to be filled with love, for itself and others There was one that it loved very much It gave itself up but was mistreated when it showed its all It's love did not get how much the heart had for this one How much compassion, how much pride, how much joy But it's love only cared about what other people though of it It was not okay with being content with itself It was not okay with being loved

The Heart that is Not
My heart has been ripped out at it's seams Laid out on display like an old fossil knowing it's importance but not caring long enough This is the heart that is no more The heart that is no more used to be filled with love, for itself and others There was one that it loved very much It gave itself up but was mistreated when it showed its all It's love did not get how much the heart had for this one How much compassion, how much pride, how much joy But it's love only cared about what other people though of it It was not okay with being content with itself It was not okay with being loved
