It was a different time In this dream of mine, When I looked in my eyes, I didn't find mine, When I looked in a river, Something beyond life, I listened for a sound, And was greeted by Silence. There, A vision of tormented faces, Desperate in their longing for love, Many holding on for dear life Onto a vain ego Always desiring power over others, All the misery, All the suffering Was shown to me in this flash, But there was beauty in all of this, For many began to want To be born again, And it was clear the old Was no longer working anymore, Only exacerbating the soul's emptiness, Into a well of grief that went on to Eternity. I simply sat humbly As an observer, In a place where that was now Foreign to me. Taking in my own Light, I held the power of God Within me Which I knew is within everyone.
