I wear many masks if you keep me at a distance I make an art of emotional masquerades So if you are wise you will keep me at a distance I tend to become attached once you let me within arm's length And you will learn terrible things you didn't need to know About the things that break me or that broke me long ago So smile sweetly, stranger, from miles far away I'm impulsive and imprinting Hate it though I may
