In silent waves of half-made dreams, The dark and hidden nighttime queen Sails out from the shadow realm, Stars and moonbeams at her helm. Gliding on a scarlet ocean, Wrapped in quiet, shadow motion; Bent on having night unfold With darkest blues and hues of gold; Velvet sky and starlight old; Wisping clouds and moonlight cold. Ancient Queen of regal bearing, Face of stone and heart uncaring, Glides along the sun's last rays, Night is overtaking day With golden hues, And darkest blues; Marble orb of beaten gold, Diamonds white of memory old; Dew drops scattered, Peace is shattered, With the onslaught of the dark, Putting end to song of lark, With the bringing of the cold. In creeping, gliding, wisping flight, Comes here now the dawn of night.
