Why make my bed If I don't plan on returning? Why leave outrageously When I can exit quietly? I don't fancy myself To be the dramatic type I can hyperbolize anything And sometimes I do But I try to mind myself Stay in my corner I'm done hiding Where do you want me Leave the keys when I'm gone? How are you Going to handle this? It's something that kills me But eventually an uncivil war Must end And the first step Is becoming a healthier person Even if it means Leaving what I love behind
