Congratulations, Gary, on the daily!! So true that no other fallen human can save us or please us...only the God-Man, Jesus Christ who has conquered the grave, can meet all of our needs...spiritual, emotional and otherwise!! :)

2 things come to mind (maybe 3)
1, that we have to learn to be alone, theoretically, rationally, etc. I can't seem to be able to disagree with the importance of learning to walk & fish alone. However,
2, I think for people that "get it," although probably few in reality & practice, need to seek each other out & at the very least remain friends through ways, which incorporate all or at least a handful of the qualities that brought them together.
3, I am unsure, at least right now, as to whether or not disagreeing masses should be faced or ignored.

Regardless, this leaves me thinking that you cannot let any of the negativity I have hinted at or implied, get to you. Do not feed it.

Those that are looking for salvation from another human being are always going to be disappointed. There is much too much codependency going on in the world. When I was a drunk and an addict I was always looking for people to fix me. It was only when I turned TOTALLY to the God I was angry at that I was able to find a real solution. Thanks for sharing good honest truth.

Congratulations Gary! This touched the heart of a lot of people. As I said before when I commented on this poem it is really important for people to realize that you can only take relationships so far before they become sick. When you become dependent on somebody to rescue you, or you're the type of person who wants to rescue everybody, that is not healthy.
