The crows laugh at us, you know We bundle And trundle Dreading the day And the skin-freezing wind. They glide Courting sky Scoffing earth Riding on windy chill And laughing. They risk the freeze To dance with ease – And we tuck our heads down Baiting wind with frown. Avoiding the kiss That holds hands With risk. Believing endurance Our only insurance If only we’d look To the sky.
