No matter what it is I see

I've got to remember
It's all about me

It's nothing you do 
it's all about me
I'm telling you who 
It's not about you

I used to think it was all about you
The things you would say and do
Now I know it&#8217;s all about me 
And not about you 

If my sky is grey
Or if my sky is blue
My sky's about me

Sounds like you want the poem to be about you but you introduce  someone else. Why? Keep it about you. Get rid of some one else coming into your poem and really make it all about you. Does that make sense. Want to hear about you!.

This is a one-of-a kind poem even in the history of great poetic works, but they always need a muse, yes they do...but nobody ever said that the Beloved is within you and that's why you see it and feel it outside too...all my spiritual yearnings and love-Lorness has also pointed me to the direction of this highest truth ... To remember the words of a beautiful Hindi verse in a poem/ song "mujh mein hee woh khushboo thee; jis se tune milvaya " ( that fragrance that I keep chasing everywhere, was coming from within me, at last I realized)
