We expect our Mothers
to be kind
and it is not always so,
We expect our Fathers to be wise
how often do we err?
We expect of our families
patience and rarely we wait,
We expect our friends eternal
and lovers faithful
how we so disappoint...
the humans we love that travel
the same path slightly ahead
or behind..,
Knowledge is wise and only
compassion can free us,
only love that is true
knows the perfection of patience,
and only Experiential knows the
way of eternal change,
and only in this way
may we become the image
of our expectant God(s).
