when the snow begins to fall
do I feel your arms around me?

many more winters
before your memory becomes buried?

will the avalanches of pain
finally cease and fill in the cracks?
Why
do the blizzards of memories
come back to me in frigid storms?
How
do i come out of it alive
when every winter I nearly freeze?

will my heart thaw
and let the icicles fall?
