head of marble
feet of clay
I can't weep
nor can I pray
I cannot tell
where moisture lies
tears come unbidden
to my eyes
down my face
the water flows
though my features
are composed
I'm too numb
to feel their grace
too frozen still
to wipe my face
so I'll allow them
I'll be still
I love you, dad
and always will.
