I live in a city But it feels like a desert Sometimes it's so cold I yearn for warmth And sometimes it's so hot the mere touch of another human leaves a burning mark I used to live in a city But it felt like a cage Thinking the desert was better So I thought But an open field is not freedom An open field that you can't explore is an invisible cage that you can not escape

My Cage
I live in a city But it feels like a desert Sometimes it's so cold I yearn for warmth And sometimes it's so hot the mere touch of another human leaves a burning mark I used to live in a city But it felt like a cage Thinking the desert was better So I thought But an open field is not freedom An open field that you can't explore is an invisible cage that you can not escape
