TO MY DEAR ONE You are beautiful my beloved Like the apple tree among the trees of the forest, so you are my dear one. Like the beautiful colors of the rainbow, so your smile is my dear one. Like roses among thorns, is my dear one among the young women. Your eyes are like doves, so beautiful they are my dear one. Your lips drop sweetness as the honey comb, my dear one. How right am I to adore you, my dear one, Because you are beautiful Tattoo my name in your heart, For pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes. You have awaken my heart my dear one, Until the day breaks and the shadows flee, so my love for you will remain, For your love is more delightful than wine. My dear one is the purest gold, You have stolen my dear heart my dear one, Like the stars in the sky, so your eyes shine so high, Open to me, my dear one For my head is drenched with rain. I have taken off my robe Must I put it on again? I have washed my heart, must I soil it again? Oh, if only you were to me like a sister, Then if I found you outside, I would kiss you and lead you and bring you to my mother’s house. For you have arouse and awaken my love until it so desires.
