lend me your wings so I might fly up to a world beyond my reach where in the night stars safely lie without the heavy words of speech there I shall wait for you to call upon this heart yours to mine I know that fate shall not forestall the glint which in my eye does shine I wait in vain for a lonely day I wait, a hopeless wretch enthralled and so this wish of you I pray lend me your wings so I might fall
