Johnny sat and smoked. Jeannie's hubby was caressing her by the fireplace, kissing her neck, arms around her waist. Jeannie looked at Johnny; he looked at them both. Once you get the woman you want, Johnny, you've got to hang on to her, you let no one take her from you, Buddy(Jeannie's hubby) said, lifting his mouth from her neck, you know what I mean? Sure, Johnny said, keep what is yours, what you love, holding his cigarette away from him, taking in Jeannie's ***** eased close to the edge of her bra by the hugging process. Love or not, Buddy said, what is mine is mine. He looked at Johnny, knew Johnny knew about the other dame he was ******** but he had Johnny where he wanted him, had him in employ, besides Johnny was a man of the world, he knew how guys were, what it was that made them tick. Johnny recalled the time he had his arms around Jeannie's waist, his lips on her neck. He inhaled on the cigarette, took in her legs showing beneath the black silky dress, how he had seen them all the way up, each aspect of them back and front. Buddy kissed the neck again. Jeannie raised her eyebrows at Johnny, as if to say: See what I have to put up with? See what a **** I have as a husband?   Johnny winked an eye, exhaled smoke, held the cigarette away from his mouth and blew an invisible kiss which settled unseen in the place where her heart lay. Buddy released Jeannie from his arms and said, Right Honey, go get us drinks, Johnny and I have business to discuss, not a dame's kind of talk, get our drinks, then go take a walk. She nodded and walked away. Johnny watched her walk, with that **** come get me sometime, kind of sway.
