Always Honey-colored tresses Once hung heavily Spiraling around A sweetened smile Now darker Shorter Your baby blues No longer blue But ocean green Deep are the depths Dark and mysterious A young woman Teetering on the edge of adulthood Different are you Beautiful blossom Yet so much heart of my heart We bump heads Bite our tongues Bang our words Hurling hate Scarring our yesterdays I will unconditionally love No matter what you think As a Father to a daughter I will always be here...
