Nothing hurts like words; Nothing sinks in and touches you Nothing quite as much, not as harsh vile words Cuts and bruises heal, they leave no mark, no stain No real reminder that they were ever really there Scars will fade over time, leave and disappear. Not ones of your heart, they will stay forever Nothing hurts like words; nothing sinks in and touches you Nothing quite as much, not as harsh vile words Pain will come and go, ebb and flow But with each touch it stains, like ink It stays with you, slowly covering you Until you are swallowed by it, unrecognisable. Nothing hurts like words; nothing sinks in and touches you Nothing quite as much, not as harsh vile words
