I miss the days when life was simple Care free children smile loud Parents dancing in the kitchen I see my dad steal a kiss Hearts are laughing Singing, harmonizing The trees are breathing green Grass swaying, hugging The flowers stand tall Welcoming life to all Animals jumping, running Moving, in love with freedom First kisses Driving cars Growing up Moving on Easy peaceful moments What a gift of memories I hear this, everywhere Those saying it, They're so naive, lucky Unaware of the jealousy From those who live Not missing anything They've never had it. We cry out in desperation Embrace it, please We need to live through you Until the day When we're able to say I miss the days when life was simple.

You can't miss something you've never had.
