Life evades us. The truth hides from us. Love runs from us. We are the cause for our own demise. For the anger and the greed to rise, It was us, and us alone who gave permission, And put charity and kindness into remission. I fear we have become too broken to mend And that our world is soon to end. Yes, this problem is well known. It has been no one's fault but our own. Yet, we are too busy blaming others for the problems we created to even care About our world that's dying, so quietly and unaware.
