And sometimes on rainy days, You gracefully dance around the corners of my home. Peeking your eyes around them to check if I've noticed you. You run down the stairs making enough noise, so I know where you're heading. Enough noise: an invitation for me to follow. Your giggles echo through the hallways. You walk in a room as I walk out, You walk out as I walk in. You stand outside of the shower, waiting To surprise me with a towel in your hands. Behind my seat while I enjoy the black-sweet coffee. And on rainy days, I sometimes join you.
