I used to get excited By your presence And by the fragrance of your shirt I used to get excited Each time you lit a cigarette And every time you blew your sighs of ignorance After we kissed goodbye But now rivers flow backwards To tell me that love is not the answer That the green exits were merely a distraction of the truth in your eyes Yes, thank you for the call Maybe another time? After the bell rings or when the tears stop I really used to care But now you're just another letter Recklessly torn And carefully placed into the dustbin

Another torn letter
I used to get excited By your presence And by the fragrance of your shirt I used to get excited Each time you lit a cigarette And every time you blew your sighs of ignorance After we kissed goodbye But now rivers flow backwards To tell me that love is not the answer That the green exits were merely a distraction of the truth in your eyes Yes, thank you for the call Maybe another time? After the bell rings or when the tears stop I really used to care But now you're just another letter Recklessly torn And carefully placed into the dustbin
