There are angels in the trees The wind blows but your hair doesn’t sway in the breeze And I can see you in the distance I wonder… As the light casts shadows I wonder if you’ll ever learn It’s your turn It’s darkest in the corners You’ve done something terrible I’m horrified, I could never hate you, but It’s darkest in the corners Even in my mind There’s no turning back There’s no piece of me to give to you Pull me down, down Soft and warm, I hold the memories in my head Let go- they forgot to tell you… you can’t have everything There are angels in the trees Vines entwine, pull me up to Heaven They sing to me I abandoned God, so he wouldn’t abandon me Whisper, I’m with you now In the trees
