Give me one last chance To give this world a glance To memorize this eve Tell me, my friend Should this really end? Why should I believe? That the trees are green that I have been 'til this hour oblivious That I have not seen August has come Fall's already begun Already on leaves I am walking They rain will soon fall Don't know how long the skies will stall And to myself I am talking Because I won't explain I will look insane To people passing my way They won't think I'm okay I'm feeling sick No more flowers to pick They might have already been pluck I can't win the gaze Or people amaze For with no flowers I am stuck The path I stride Or with a bike I ride Is lacking my treasure Should I walk the other side?

A walk in August
