I’m sitting in church Only 5 years old Accepting Christ Doing what I’m told I’m ten years old Learning in school Casting off Jesus He just isn’t cool High school comes around I’ve got some bad friends *** drinks, and drugs Where does it end? Now I’m in college Feeling so lost The lifestyle I lived Came at a cost Stuck at a fork And left with a choice Do I fade back Or stand with a voice? What I want again I had as a child I want hot and spicy Not tame and mild I want to be saved I want to feel freedom To shout and sing praises To enter His kingdom I will get back on track I will preach my salvation I will be the light To a dark and dying nation
