I like this a lot, there are some unforgettable moments.&nbsp;&nbsp;

I saw you write a lot of reactions, so I thought you might like an in-depth reaction. I'm just going on my own personal response and it's just meant to be helpful, for you and for me, so no offence intended! So you can gauge my opinion, I think your strengths are the striking (and not at all cliched) images and bursts of rhythm. The weaker side from my point of view is that there are moments that take me out of the poem and make me aware of the poem as a poem, rather than letting me fully enjoy the images. But overall I really enjoyed it, and I'm very glad I found your poetry. 

My first question was about the title. 'Sibilant' drew my attention to the mechanics of the poem and I wasn't sure whether you wanted to do that. It doesn't strike me as a poem about the mechanics of poetry particularly, it's more about the feelings and experiences she has. It looks like it's because it's a response to Joel's poem. But what would be the effect of giving it a musical title, like 'Nocturne'? 

Sliding from the silky satin sheets - perfect start, really strong image and intriguing 

'Slowly she saunters' (line 2) I'm less sure about. It made me think you were trying to do s's because it didn't fit with my image of the girl from the lighter 'i' sounds in the first line, sliding and satin. Also because of starting the line with slowly, which slows down the image and the excitement from the first line, which is so much lighter. You might try starting the line with she. 'She skirts the moonskimmed terrace'

cerise nipples -wow. i shall never look at nipples the same. 

italics vs main verse - I felt there could be more contrast in the styles - it's all quite epic sounding, but there's a few places where it sounds overly self-conscious. If you were to have a greater contrast it would establish a dynamic relationship between the character in the poem and the character of the author. 

The words that stand out as overly self conscious to me were:
saunters (line 2) 
scantily swathed (line 4 - you could just cut to 'svelte silhouette' which creates the same image for me - I was already imagining scantily swathed, goes without saying!)
exquisite snare - just seems a bit cliched compared to your better images. 'Caught in the 22
Of sinsweet reminisce."




Try getting rid of some of the non-image words from the italics:
-Lips that tease with nearness
-Lips teasing nearness


The 2nd italics stanza has a very interesting rhythm - making you hesitate as you read it. (the double 3 syllables - caresses gracefully... then suspended...precipice)

Last line of the final stanza is brilliant in concept, but jars slightly for me at the moment. 

'She beckons the circumference of abyss' 

Ending could be more playfully theatric, by rhyming:

So, once more betwixt
Silky, satin sheets she slips.
