the sea
she introduces you
to the bliss that is possible
she pulls you in
seduces you
she calls to you in the darkness
she looks like the night sky if
you dip your toe in
somehow her scheme works
you find yourself
thrown in to the icy abyss
you are numb
long forgotten by your glacial lover
lost in the swirling water
as the sun rises
you wonder whether
to grab the ladder
or to sink
