What would happen if you saw me? If you truly saw me If you saw past my face Past my clothes Past my words What would happen if you truly saw me? I'll tell you You would see a dark writhing mass Confusion and hatred Violence and untamed fear You would see my loneliness You would see how much I despise everything But you would also see how much love is inside me How much I care for people You would see how much I want everyone to love me as much as I love them You would see how much I understand How well I can see other people But you can't see this Because you can't look past my face You can't look past my clothes You can't look past my words All you can see is what lies before you
