I've loved writing words
That I'm sure nobody would purposefully read
Yet, I truly hope they like it and read it
I hope people get me
Understand what I'm trying to say.
I hope that someday teachers teach my poems,
Disect it mercilessly to understand it,
It would be so much easier just to ask the poet.
Although I hope I'm not dead by then.
I'd love people to read my words
And appreciate it like my friends do.
