Rushing, they push me through its double doors Panic and chaos, white robes running all around To hasten, my loved one implores To sustain my heart’s beating sound Bright lights is all I see as I dwindle away, Her voice shouting out my name With tears she asks me to stay As I enter into my final frame I can feel my heart starting to fade, And her things drop to the floor I reflect on all the things I’ve done and made Until the beating of my heart was no more

Through Its Double Doors
Rushing, they push me through its double doors Panic and chaos, white robes running all around To hasten, my loved one implores To sustain my heart’s beating sound Bright lights is all I see as I dwindle away, Her voice shouting out my name With tears she asks me to stay As I enter into my final frame I can feel my heart starting to fade, And her things drop to the floor I reflect on all the things I’ve done and made Until the beating of my heart was no more
A poem I wrote almost two years ago. Also posted on my Fiction Press account.
