As I am sitting
there are couples walking down halls
and parents giving calls
and lovers making love
while others are breaking up
and crying to the floor
and children are in school
either sleeping or wide awake depending on the topic
that teachers are giving
and there are people walking around in cities, states, and countries
either busy as a bee or as lazy as a sloth
while children sleep
and boys and girls dance
or sing
or drive to school or go on home
I am sitting at my desk
watching the world at its best
from the good and bads of it
it's not as simple as one would hope
but it's enough for me to know that i will be getting up
and heading back home
