Those last two lines were incredible and they really hit me hard. The last time I lost someone I cared about, it seemed that way; losing them made them more important, made them the most important thing in the world to me. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder": there's a lot of truth in that. Some things we take for granted until we lose them. Some things we cling too tightly to, after we lose them, and sometimes before. "The universe left my eyes and / Fled into yours" - beautiful. The whole poem is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
