We hope for the sun. For the glorious dawn. But hope, like a million years away. Stares at us from afar. In the thick, scary gloom, We ***** for the twinkling stars. Drenched in the peltering rain, We hope for sunshine, And a smiling tomorrow We hope for bread and wine From cunny, lying walls. We hope and feed on soothing lies From smooth criminals Today still in our childlike faith We wait and hope.

Hope In The Rain
