The pepper catches my throat Clinging onto my taste buds Holding on for dear life A swimmer's stretch does no good Boat-tailed crows edge me on Without intent, the cup is back to my lips It burns, it burns, throat on fire Alert fire rescue, I need the hose Straight into my mouth Pressure cranked up It's almost self-infliction now To keep taking sip after sip But as long as the firefighters stand by I'm free to take the risk
