I stand on the edge, the drop so long that I can't see the bottom. All I can see is nothing. No mist, no darkness, just nothing. I know I have to jump but I am afraid. Will I land gently? Or will I be bruised and broken? The nothing holds no answers, no comfort. And I know I have to jump. The nothing looms, waiting for the inevitable moment when knowledge becomes action.
