I may be guarded,
I may be armed.
But never be a wolf in disguise,
You’ll see right through me with bare eyes.
My waves serpentine,
But intentions ever clean.
Moves neither linear nor symmetrical,
But I’ll make sure—always ethical.
It’s the moral from within,
Taught to me by family.
Sometimes I win—sometimes I lose,
But trust me, loyalty is what I choose.
At times intense,
At times restrained.
This face is all I’ve got,
So believe me, there’s no other plot.
Ever trusting— devoted.
But always living at the border,
Should I stay, or should I go?
Always running from disorder.
The most grounded,
The most kind.
But everything runs out of time,
I’ll carry on, baggage in tow, in the silence of a mime.
Perfectly fluid in integrity,
Never quiet when you ask.
I have too been burned by silence,
This stands tall as my reverence.
And I will say this one more time,
I am guarded,
I am armed.
Ever kind within my heart, but never at the cost of my demise.
